Her story

Historical context

goddess · Viking Age Scandinavia

Frigg sits in Fensalir and knows all fates, yet speaks none of them. As Odin's wife and queen of the gods she governs the household, marriage and childbirth; the constellation Swedes called Frigg's distaff still spins across the winter sky.

Mythology & traditions

Her great story is Baldr's. Foreseeing her son's death, she extracted an oath of protection from every thing in the world — and skipped the mistletoe as too young to matter. Loki found the gap. Her tragedy is not ignorance but the one exception she allowed, and she remains the goddess who knows and holds her tongue.

What you need to sow

Begin with your own house in order. The new thing needs a place to live.

What you need to grow

Nurture what you already promised to protect. Check the small thing you overlooked.

What you need to know

You know how this ends. Speaking it aloud is not the same as preventing it.
