Mistress of Healing and Purification

Ḫannaḫanna

Grandmother of Counsel and the Bee

Ḫannaḫanna, whose name is related to the Hittite word for grandmother, is a senior mother goddess who advises the gods in Hittite myths. When Telepinu vanishes and the land fails, she sends a bee to find and awaken him, setting restoration in motion.
