Frau Holle
Keeper of Snow, Spinning and Reward
Frau Holle is a German-speaking folkloric figure who oversees spinning, seasonal order and the just reward of willing work. She is best known from the Grimms’ tale, while proposals that she preserves a pre-Christian goddess remain suggestive rather than certain.
