Nana

Four-Armed Lady on the Lion

Nana, whose worship came from Mesopotamia, became the chief goddess of Sogdiana, including Samarkand and Bukhara. Murals and coins show her with four arms, holding the sun and moon, seated on a lion.

Ardochsho

Lady of Abundance

Ardochsho is a Kushan goddess of plenty, known mainly from coins struck across Bactria, including sites in southern Uzbekistan. She is usually shown holding a cornucopia and is related to the Iranian Ashi, spirit of reward.
